ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CRUELTY FREE AND VEGAN?
We now only stock @the_gel_bottle_inc which is all cruelty free and vegan gel polish and we now have an epic range of colours. We also use The Manicure Company hard gel, which is also cruelty free and vegan. Please note some of our glitters are unknown to their eco friendliness.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
We have the relevant certificated qualifications to do the services we offer approved by the guild of beauty therapists.
CAN YOU DO DETAILED NAIL ART?
We MOSTLY do detailed freehand nail art which we love to do so your welcome to ask us if there’s something specific you want, we love a challenge. Feel free to get in touch in advance if you’re unsure. And just make sure you book in for enough time from the design menu.
WHY CAN’T I SEE ANY APPOINTMENTS
We’re most likely fully booked, you can try emailing email@example.com to see if we can find you a slot.
We do not offer any service to anyone under the age of 16.
We will fix any damage that we deem to be a result of our application free of charge. After 7 days there will be a small fee of £2 per gel polish/overlay and £4 per extension. Please book in for an “Oops I broke One” as soon as you can. please contact us if you can’t get an appointment within 7 days.
We take every care in the salon to ensure that your new nails will last but it’s important that you look after them between appointments too.
Massage cuticle oil and hand moisturiser in every day. This will nourish the root of the natural nail allowing it to produce stronger, more flexible and non-flaky natural nails & keep the product on them from going brittle.
Nails are jewels not tools! Gel & acrylic are great for strengthening your nails but they will not make them indestructible. Take as much care as you would with your natural nails, and beware when it comes to ring pulls and car doors!
Your acrylic nails will continue to polymerise for 24 hours and will only be fully set after this time period, please be gentle with them and avoid soaking them in water or any strenuous activity.
Do not soak hands in water for long periods of time. This will cause lifting & take care around extreme heat or naked flames as nail extensions may melt.
We advise you leave no longer than 2-3 weeks between appointments, nails will become weaker as the product grows out and will start to lift and break after this time due to wear & tear and incorrect structure. Do not miss your regular maintenance appointments to ensure your nails stay looking at their best.
If any adverse reaction occurs: rash, redness, inflammation of any kind around the nails please contact your GP immediately.
Do not pick or peel product from your nails as this will remove the upper layer of your natural nails and cause damage, which can sometime be painful and leave them very thin. Avoid home repairs or removals – you could cause a lot more damage than you realise. Book in with one of our nail technicians to keep your natural nails in good shape.
If lifting can be seen please contact us as water and dirt can get under it and cause an infection.
Dyes/tints in food, beauty & hair products cause discolouration. Wear gloves or clean nails after use and be careful when using suntan oils/repellents as some formulations can cause damage to gel polish
Avoid drying chemicals like alcohol or bleach in beauty & cleaning products. Use protective gloves for housework, gardening DIY etc as household chemicals will strip natural nails and skin of natural oils, thus, affecting it’s look and condition.
Regular nail polish can be applied over the gel polish if you wish to change the colour temporarily, and can be removed with non-acetone nail polish remover without affecting the gel underneath. Always use a base coat to avoid yellowing.
REFUNDS, RETURN & EXCHANGES
If your nails become scratched or mis-shaped we will fix them if you notify the salon at which you received the service within 24 hours of the service.
You must arrange an appointment to have your nails fixed within 7 days after your initial service.
We will not be responsible for any breaking, lifting or infected nails.
Re-fills over the prescribed maximum 2-3 weeks period may be charged an extra fee.
If you damage the original design a charge may apply for repairs.
We will not offer any refund or credit note because you have simply changed your mind.
We will re do any service at no cost to you if you are unsatisfied with the quality of the work we do, provided that you tell us immediately after we have performed the service that you are unhappy with the quality of the work.
As soon as you have walked out the salon door that means you have accepted and are happy with the service provided to your nails.
We will charge you for the costs of any repairs or replacements that we have to carry out because of damage that you have caused.
For example due to your own lack of care your nails, or the finish to your nails, they are damaged (in that they are broken, chipped or start to lift).
NO SHOWS & CANCELLATIONS
If you don’t turn up for your appointment or cancel at short notice, you will be charged a fee. Please contact us at least 24 hours before your appointment if you can’t make it.
We cannot guarantee the service that has been booked to anyone who is over 10 minutes late and, in some instances, may not be able to honour the appointment at all, although we will try our best to fit you in. Please call us as soon as you know you will be late so we can do our very best to accommodate you.

PRESS ON NAILS FAQS
How long will my nails last?
Your press on nails should last at least one week if applied with nail glue. Or use nail glue tabs for more occasional use. They will be reusable if not too much glue is applied.
What’s your return policy?
All sales are considered final. We do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds.
Can an order be cancelled?
Orders cannot be cancelled. However we understand that things can go wrong. If you have an item on backorder or it is being held and not shipped, we recommend you reach out to us via email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a cancellation.
Can I cancel an order once it has been shipped?
Unfortunately no. Orders begin to ship almost immediately once processing or on board for delivery, cannot be cancelled Gossip is not responsible for any shipping delays caused by discrepancies in service during transit – i.e. customs, weather, transfers from courier services to the local carrier in your country or air and ground transportation strikes, delays nor public holidays, any extra fees or back-end charges once the package has exited our warehouse.
Can I exchange an item if I have changed my mind or isn’t what I expected?
All sales are considered final, we ask that you choose carefully before committing to your purchase with us. We have countless examples of our products to view online to give customers the best indication of how our products look and perform.
Gossip handmade nail sets are manufactured on demand and either prior to, or at the time of the order. Images shown online are for display purposes only. Due to our meticulous handmade manufacturing processes, handmade products may vary slightly from the images shown.
What happens if my order becomes out of stock?
If we are unable to fulfil your order due to a stock shortage, we will cancel the order, process the refund on the out of stock item and email you the confirmation. Credit card refunds usually take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement. However this timing can vary depending on your bank.
What should I do if I receive the wrong product?
Whoops! We’re sorry to hear that you received a product different from the one that you ordered.
Our picking team could make a mistake so we’re sorry about the hassle that might cause. All you need to do is contact us via email email@example.com – attach a photo of what you received and your order confirmation and items visible and we’ll be sure to get you the correct items ordered ASAP!
